Praising his running mate as a man who "brought change to Washington, but Washington hasn't changed him," Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama introduced running mate Sen. Joseph Biden Saturday on the very spot where Obama began his campaign 19 months ago.

Historic Semester

Months of the sounds of construction will be replaced by the hustle and bustle of 400 students moving into the new Joseph Z. and Louise H. Ornelas Residential Complex. The $30 million project is complete and ready for students to move in on Aug. 22-24. The 152,000 square foot facility is being paid for by a donation from Mr. & Mrs. Ornelas and a bond totaling over $39 million. The residents will help pay back the bond package with the $2,985 per semester fees. Other residence halls on campus cost $2,075 per semester.

Dr. Mark Escamilla named sole finalist for Del Mar College President

A unanimous vote by the Del Mar College Board of Regents named current Tyler Junior College Provost Dr. Mark Escamilla the lone finalist for president of Del Mar College. The announcement was made on the TJC Campus today.

According to Del Mar College, Escamilla visited the campus last week for interviews and forum discussions with various members of the Del Mar College community.

What's the problem with political jokes? They get elected. I have countless more jokes I could share at the expense of American politics, and even more opinions. I could explain in great detail who I believe should be the next president of the United States (and Zimbabwe at that).
